500 million people use their phones to pay for the ticket on the subway or bus in 2015

500 million people worldwide use mobile phones to pay the fare on the subway or bus in 2015, according to forecasts by the company Juniper Research's report "Mobile Ticketing for Transport Markets. Estpo accounts for more than five times the number recorded last year, but Juniper is expected to expand greatly the use from the current focus on Japan and some European countries. Outside Japan, the systems most used are SMS or the bar code as the web of Busworld.
The mobile payment also has potential in travel by train and plane, as shown by the use of a barcode on the phone as a boarding pass. The SMS has been operating for many years in major cities in Sweden and Central and Eastern Europe, such as Stockholm and Prague. As the subway authorities are beginning to implement contactless payment systems, the use of banknotes NFC (Near Field Communications) will register significant growth in early 2013.
Juniper According to the report, be 2013 when a large number of essential NFC devices in the pockets of users, and this will impanto on the volume of transactions. Western Europe, the Far East and China will lead the regional market mobile payments in transport in 2015.
